Honens brings a dance-themed program to Studio Bell with pianists Winston Choi, Carter Johnson and Jon Kimura Parker alongside violinist MingHuan Xu. Violin, harpsichord and piano combinations move through music spanning centuries, with a pre-concert conversation at 6 PM. Honens Festival: Storytellers — Babar the Elephant
Pianist and Honens Laureate Carter Johnson performs music from Kurtag's Jatekok and Poulenc's The Story of Babar in a Saturday family program at Studio Bell. Designed as an accessible introduction to classical music and storytelling, it gives children a story to follow while listening. Registration costs $5 per group, refunded at the door unless you choose to donate it, rather than a separate concert ticket charge for every child.
